Sculptra is a bio-stimulating treatment that activates your skin’s natural collagen stimulation for a more youthful appearance. It is a unique treatment for enhancing skin quality and facial contouring. Sculptra is made from poly-lactic acid, derived from sugar cane, and acts as a strong collagen stimulator when injected superficially into areas with sagging skin, large pores, and acne scars.
Sculptra is the first and original bio-stimulator that works universally for men and women who have lost collagen through aging. Its unique and unmatched production technology guarantees safe and natural results that last over two years.

Sculptra restores 66.5% of lost collagen in the treated area. Clients will see firmer and thicker skin quality with significant improvements in skin texture and noticeable lifting effects. Results will be visible 4-6 weeks after treatment. For clients above 35 years old, multiple sessions are required to achieve desired outcomes, typically one session per decade of age.
Sculptra PLLA powder is reconstituted with sterile water and lidocaine and mixed well to form a homogenous structure before injection. After preparation, the doctor identifies the goals and treats the face with cannula injections to distribute the product proportionally in areas that require stronger lifting structure. The treatment is relatively painless, comfortable, and takes 15-20 minutes, including planning. After injection, the doctor will perform a thorough 5-minute massage and recommend continuing this practice for the next five days, five times a day. This helps avoid potential product accumulations in one area and the risk of collagen nodules forming under the skin.
Sculptra stimulates Type I and Type III collagen that lasts up to 25 months. The PLLA particles from Sculptra will be “digested” and removed from the body by macrophages 9 months after the treatment, but the restored collagen will last much longer.
Our doctors at Revival Clinic use Sculptra in combination with body fillers for butt lifting and contouring treatments. Sculptra is FDA-approved for use in the following areas: Face: Cheeks, temples, marionette lines, nasolabial folds (smile lines), facial jowls, chin wrinkles, décolletage; Body: Cellulite, buttocks, hip dips, hands, inner arms, upper knees, stretch marks.
Although Sculptra is perceived as a dermal filler due to its contouring effects, it is completely different from hyaluronic acid-based fillers as it acts as a bio-stimulator to produce your own collagen while fillers work on replacing lost/lacking tissue in treated areas to restore volume, contour, and define features. Sculptra helps achieve natural-looking results for people with naturally wide facial features, without adding extra volume.
Sculptra treatment must be provided exclusively by trained and experienced doctors to avoid potential side effects due to wrong administration. Incorrect treatment protocols can lead to vascular occlusion, nodules under the skin, localized redness, swelling, and tenderness. All adverse effects are manageable and reversible if reported immediately.
At Revival Clinic, we love to provide a holistic approach to aesthetic concerns; hence, our protocols are always combination treatments with the world’s advanced products and technologies led by expert medical personnel. We combine Sculptra with injectable fillers like Restylane to get a firm and lifted effect for sagging faces that have significant volume loss. For body areas like arms and abdomen, we combine Sculptra bio-stimulator with RF-microneedling Morpheus8, Sciton Joule, and other energy-based devices to achieve the best skin tightening results. Sculptra is the only and first FDA-approved bio-stimulator on the market for safe and effective collagen stimulation. With over 25 years in the market and a high amount of scientific data, Sculptra is proven indicated for skin firmness, tightening, smoothness, progressive, natural, and youthful glow.
The recent research study done by Prof. Priscila Sarlos, Luiz Avelar & Alessandra Haddad shows that Sculptra can effectively address the common side effect of skin sagging caused by rapid weight loss due to Ozempic and Mounjaro injection treatments. “Ozempic Face” can be treated with Sculptra sessions; for each 4 kg loss of weight, the client will require one session of Sculptra treatment.
Sculptra is great for people who work out regularly to restore lost volume structures on the face and body since HA fillers don’t last long with a heavy workout routine.
Sculptra and Botox serve different purposes in aesthetic treatments. Sculptra is a collagen stimulator used to increase volume and smooth out deep lines and wrinkles by stimulating the body’s own collagen production. It has long-lasting effects and primarily targets the lower face and other body areas. Botox, on the other hand, is a neurotoxin used to temporarily paralyze muscles, primarily used to address wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement, like forehead lines and crow’s feet.
Sculptra effects are not reversible. Once injected, Sculptra works by stimulating collagen production over time. If you are unhappy with the results, you should discuss your concerns with your physician to determine appropriate steps moving forward, which may include adjusting future treatment plans.
Sculptra is generally considered safe for all skin types. However, like all medical treatments, it’s crucial to consult with a healthcare provider who can evaluate your specific skin condition and history to ensure Sculptra is suitable for you.
In Dubai, the cost of Sculptra treatments can vary significantly based on several factors, including the clinic’s location, the expertise of the medical staff, and the specific treatment requirements. Typically, the number of sessions and vials used will influence the overall cost. For a personalized assessment and a detailed breakdown of the costs based on your unique needs, it’s best to schedule a consultation at Revival Clinic. We will provide you with tailored information and guide you through the options to achieve your aesthetic goals.
Before and after Sculptra treatments, it’s advised to avoid medications and supplements that can increase bruising, such as aspirin, NSAIDs, and fish oil. Patients are also advised to avoid excessive sun exposure and strenuous activities for a few days after the treatment to minimize swelling and bruising.
The number of Sculptra sessions required can vary based on individual goals and the area being treated. Typically, patients might need 2 to 3 sessions spaced several weeks apart to achieve optimal results.
To prepare for a Sculptra session, it is recommended to avoid alcohol, smoking, and any blood-thinning medications or supplements a few days prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising. Ensure your skin is clean and free of any lotions, oils, or makeup.
The recovery time after a Sculptra treatment is usually minimal. Most patients can return to normal activities immediately. Some may experience swelling or bruising at the injection site, which typically resolves within a few days. It’s important to follow post-treatment care instructions provided by your physician to ensure the best results.
